Hey everyone!
Tonight I'm taking a plane to USA, going to attend San Diego Comic Con!
In the meanwhile, here's some stuff I've been working on, for work, for fun and for giggles!

Hi everyone!
Been hella busy for the past month with a treinee sorta course at Editora Abril, the place I usually do illos for.
There's a LOT to post, so brace yourself!

My Megaman tribute piece.

I know the results aren't in yet, but like every other tribute, I always think I did a winner piece, and then I see other participants with much superior uniqueness who got in and remember you can always do better, so I'm just assuming whatever. Hope you dig. Below, inks.

And here is most part of what I've done this month, from illos, to comics and so on, on our project at CAJ (Curso Abril de Jornalismo, or Abril [publishing] Journalism Course). It was mostly children stuff, but I think I can't get into specifics.

Happy new years!
How's everything? I just got back from some much needed vacations last sunday, and am ready for more! Are you too?

Here's a spread page I made for Mundo Estranho's Retrato Falado (¨mugshot¨) subject I draw for monthly, this time about Bonnie and Clyde.

Like last month's, I tried doing some paintings again. Trying to maintain my style while approaching new finishing techniques. Also broadening the amount of stuff I can do, for a change.

Here's some rough pencils I made before starting the renders and etc. Next time i paint I want to use a fully finished lineart though! I believe the strongest the lienart is, the better will be the final result.

Below is a kind of quickie I did for EnterVoid's secret santa. An opportunity to do some washes..

And then easily slap some colors on it.

Now, below, since Robert Burke Richardson (from Zuda's Absolute Magnitude) posted it on facebook, I guess it's fine to share here, a pitch me (as artist) and him (as writer) are submitting soon, Dead as Disco. Below are page 1 and 3, and later, their colroed counterparts.

How's things going?
I've been a bit busy, like every december, I guess. I can't show everything I've been doing yet, but here are some treats!

The remaining pages from my Pirat submission. They are already lettered and stuffs. I'll make a post with the lettered ones when the book is out, since it will be in polish, you can check the ¨subtitles¨ here hehe.

Ultimate Update

Why, hello there! Totally broke my biweekly updatage rate, yeah?
Been reeeeally busy taking care of my graduation project but it's FINALLY DONE!
Presented it november 24th and had the party already on the same week on 27th haha.

Now that I can finally work on my personal projects, so I'm doing that.
First and foremost, a comic for the yearly polish anthology I contribute to Pirat, now on the third installment. It's a children story, contrary to the almost pornographic one I had last time around.
Still laying grays on them, but should be done in the next few days or so.

Blacks:

The style is like a half breed of disney comics and dragon ball. Or that's just me who sees it that way haha.
Here are some gray versions I cooked up:

Below is the final logo for my project. It's basiclaly identical to the cover of it too. I was a retarded and forgot to take pictures of the book itself before handing them to the orientors. It's a 62 pager thing, all thick and well printed. Probably on a january update?

It was drawn with a brush, and colored in PS as per usual.

Below are some revisiting on old characters. I won't get into their stories because they are kind of bland, but I liked the final result. Tried using only brushes and washes on them for a change of pace.

Randy, the lost king.

Football Ninja, the one-orc-army bandit.

Hoodie Knight. It's actually a chick below all that cloth and steel, but people can't tell due to the metallic voice.

Communist Rollerbabe. She was the theme of my 2009's 24 Hour comic. (read here: http://img196.imageshack.us/slideshow/webplayer.php?id=64412167.jpg I'm not sure the images in here stil lwork though.. I had compiled it whe nI posted on deviantart back then).

Each yeah, for a close relative's birthday, such as my parents or grandmothers, I present them with a portrait. Now, last october, my brother, the last in line got his, and my parents DEMANDED me to make one myself, since my birthday was closing in on November 14th (Yup, I'm 24 years old now), so I did it!

Lineart. Half breed here. Unipins for lines in general, but brush for the hair, I think it looks very natural like this.

Color version. I like trying to take my cellshades to extremes and represent the most amount of stuff with the same base technique. I'm really glad to achieve some sort of realism with it here. And YES, my face is reeeally oily- I mean, shiny.

And for last, but not least, some more illo works I've done monthly for Mundo Estranho magazine:

Drawn with pencils. This section allows me for experimenting, so each month I've been betting on a different technique.

Colors now. Softened cellshades.
Nannie Doss, the grinning granny.

This was reeeally interesting, for it being the first fully digital piece I've done in ages, since I bought my tablet. I found interesting mostly because I actually liked the result, contrary to my early attempts.

Trick or Treat!

It's halloween time! Which means about nothing in Brazil, but I really like the theme in it.
I made my special thing for this ocasion for a first timer. I wanna start a sort of holiday card series.

It's the basic zsa thing ¨add skulls and roses to everything¨ but I really liked the final thing. I didn't want to draw anyone dressed up, though a RockStar costume came to mind.
It's also a rather small piece of drawing, from my sketchbook, not the usual 11x17 page and what not.

The colored and lettered part. Sending some out, so I included the blog's link. I like my actual website more, but the blog is MUCH more up to date.

Here below be some tests I've done for Quanta Estudio, the place I take comic classes at. It's part of a selective process. Still waiting back on word.

They are based on a Machado de Assis (brazillian writer) short story ¨Entre Santos¨. It's about this priest who found his capel's saints talking amongst themselves after a long day, and they mock the prayers they've received.

Colored version. I inked those strongly having the colors in mind, so you can see how the inks arent as extreme as the usual.

Here be some reference sheets for a character contest, for Editora Abril. I'm a bit pissed off about this one though. I kind of rushed through my conclusion project, illustration works to get this done, which I did in the LAST day, only to found out the deadline was extended to mid-December, where I wouldn't have needed to rush, and would have gotten a much better result, perhaps. Oh well. Let's see how it goes.

Hi there! How's it going?
First off, here's the BW and the color version of a illo I have out this month on Mundo Estranho magazine:

Unfortunately the moon didn't get to stay, but it was all in the name of a better reading!

I've been working too on my conclusion project. Some of the stuff aren't yet ready, but I'll show asap!
I've coded a beta for Pun Kroc, he has no moves yet, and possibly none till it's all done, but it will be a fine punching bag!

And now for some good ol' sketchings, some stuff that has been laying around my sketchbook for a while already...

Now for some super heroing.. I only do those during comic classes. The ones with Superman and She-Spawn were done using references they gave at class.

Octoberfest!

Hey there! It's october already!
And guess what? Tomorrow is 24hour Comic day! Are you doing it? I know I am!

I bought some Winsor series 7 brushes, sizes 0, 00 and 000.. which are still too thick? Or my hand is too heavy. One way or another. Here's a first test.

And a second one. Thought I'd try something bigger.

Accidently did some older quirks I had with a kind ink hatching. I got to like this one enough to color it.

I attempted to color it simpler. 4 colors, and also something i really like but never use, which is halftoning.

Remember the comic classes I'm taking? I tried a jab at coloring a classmate's lineart. Edson is pretty cool, not exactly my type of lines, but super strong work!

Coloring in CMYK is tricky though. I might be getting color lazy. Need to color more!

Now back on my graduation project.
I got a title for it, CrossRoads. The logo isnt all that exciting, but I'm confortable with it. It had originally drawn letters, but they were also illegible, so I resorted to fonts, and fuck with it. It's not like I can spend a long time playing around anyway, I just want to be done with my graduation project, and work on actual important stuff, such as the RockStar reboot!

College project and sketches

Morning!
This update has little variation, I guess. Cutting to the chase, yes?

A little light practice with my character Doctor Anthropos. I got a little excited with drawing him again, might think of a whole new project with him.

Samurai Hitler.

Below is what I've been working for the most part the last week, my conclusion project, that's due midway in november, and I had not much done so far, but a demo version of the game back in 2008. So I'm off to complete it, but now as a project.
It's tentatively called Crossroads, and each character is based on a genre coming from the Blues.

Alley Gator. Based on Punk! (I also thought of Punkroc! Might be it.)

Roxy Pops. Based on Funk and Soul.

The Hellion. I don't need to tell you what's it's based on, I hope.

Fatality Jane. Country.

Skull B.One. The first one, created back in 2008, now redesigned with a more tuned in design with the other characters in the project. He's based mostly on rockers from the end of the 60s on, and on a few hard rock singers too, go figure.

Bonnie C. It's a chick, despite her looks, but I wanted to keep her less sexually appealing. She's based on Jazz, and more specifically Miles Davis, because Hard Bop is the shit.

Below are the colored versions of them.

Next week probably coming with the last boss for the game, and if I'm too hopeful, pixelart versions and backgrounds too.

A bit of everything!

Hi there! It's a-update time!

Been drawing a lot.. specially since I got uh, free time on my hands haha, except that I must figure out where to focus that energy, so it's actually a self pressure.
Figured I'd post something. First is a kind of oldie, but also the first thing I drawed after arriving from the USA, on my sketchbook:

She's called Psycho Jane, and has no story, except that I created her in the Soul Calibur 4's generator haha. Gotta love chicks with swords and afros.

A colored version. On this point I started a color review on my own work. What works, what don't, and etc.

Some small sketches from my sketchbook:

Wonder Girl vs. Captain America. Thinking about making a finalized version of this.

Spidey and Wolvie. Practicing different body types. Wolverine could be smaller yet. Or Spiderman be the same size as him, but the official excuse is that there was no more space above spidey to be drawn. Actually it was just Logan doing a cool pose, and I decided putting Spiderman on him later on.

Remember those RockStar pages I made a while ago before SDCC? I slapped some colors on one of them.

Those here below is a cover I'm making for David Grimshaw's 3D illustration anthology book ¨It's like I can touch you¨.

Colors. Had some trouble figuring how'd I do this but after I started laying the colors, everything was fine.

Now last, is some pseudo try-out I made based on a script I got from this Nightwing issue.
Apparently it's from some arc Ra's Al Ghul is being revived or I dunno.
Actually I did zero cleaning on those, I just wanted to see how they'd look without the blue leads I use for pencilling, and put some panel borders on Grayson.

Yeah, it ends kind of abruptly, it was just 4 pages. Fun stuff!

Oy there!
Been a long time, right? I've been kind of away due to having gone to the USA meeting people at SDCC and also touring around in NYC and meeting MORE people.
Only today I remembered of a drawing that should be in my last post. I'm taking classes with many talented teachers at Quanta, and Greg Tocchini (http://gregtocchini.blogspot.com) has asked us to bring lineart to be colored during class. My chosen were these:

It was drawn before I made those RockStar pages last post, and before I got away from DC. It's a spin off on the Wizard of Oz story. The girl is called Dorothy and the robot, Albert. In this world, the Nazis won WW2 and prohibited any use of weapons. However, as a counterattack, before being evaporated from the world, the losing axis compiled all military knowledge and intruded it into Einsteins mind...implanting it on a robot, who will live forever. Now, decades later, the robot's existance has been blown to the public and everyone wants it's head.
It can produce any type type of weapons, given the necessary resources, however it's extremely unable to wield weapons, so this woman, Dorothy, does all the dirty jobs for him, and protects him, for who-knows-what-reason.
Another idea I had is that the world only have women now, and they reproduce themselves through artificial pregnancy, therefore, they don't have sex with a male in a long time, which is also why they seek for Albert, and a probable hook for Dorothy, haha.

Here's the finished version.

In the meantime at USA , I've draw a little, though not really as much as I'd like. Here's the most worth showing:

Nothing original. Saw a TMNT comic drawn by Simon Bizley and decided drawing a Raph myself too haha.

Did some photo-referenced pencils and tried to convert them into my style with the inks, in an attempt to make my faces more realistic.

And last but not least, the latest freelance thingie I've done for Mundo Estranho:

It's my favourite from the two pieces, though I think the composition on the first one was better for being simpler.

So, I'm close to ending my awesome partnership with Sheldon Vella, Chondra Echert and Claudio Sanchez on their intense comic book Kill-Audio!

RockStar, and school Animation!

Hi there!

After my last playing around with ZBrush for university, I decided taking my hand on RockChild, the main character of my Zuda comic RockStar!

This is a render of the early model

This one was after I changed some details on him, but I was retarded and only noticed the renders were low res after they were all done.

And this one is the final render, in high resolution, and dandy and stuffs!

Right now I'm a bit out of time, for good reasons though, work, and because if I can send Zuda 4 pages till december, we'll have a RockStar debut by December 4th, a friday!

As I was saying, as busy as I am, as soon as I'm free I'll start modelling his body too! I want to see a full 3d RockStar! : D Let's see how I'll do with Zbrush bodies right?

Oi there!

Another blog updatage!

I've been doing some concept too, and here's some for the first season of ROCKSTAR!

Sigismond, our hero, and Drum Jones, his best friend, form the RollingStars band, as you'd have guesses haha. ¨Sixmond¨ is wearing a Black Abba shirt, his favourite death metal band!

Jones is older than him, and is a Himi Jendrix fanatic (it's a play on Jimi, but here, a legendary drummer).

Brunna is Sixmond's love interest haha, and she's a nerdy, indy type of girl, though very extroverted!

Down here, is an experiment with a nib pen I bought!

Hi there! Another updatage!

First the inks of some alternate covers I've been doing for www.kill-audio.com comicbooks!

This one is the first I've done, a few weeks back, it's already colored, but I don't know if I can share it yet. I will when it's ok to do it though!

I inked this one yesterday, for issue 2! Still gotta color though!

Instead of coloring stuff today, I decided doing some fanart instead haha

I found it harder to draw poses to Zero in this armor, compared to his other version, more humanlike perhaps?

I'm retarded, btw, and I have a contest going on for around a week already! (hadn't posted earlier because most of my followers here are also at any other sites I go to)

Create-a-Villain Contest!

It's a very cool contest, and it's very simple!
You have to create a what would be RockStar ( [link] ) villain!

The rules for it are simple:
-Design an original villain (by original I mean that it must be your own thing, not a naruto world ninja, and etc, just to make clear).
-You can enter the contest as many time as you wish, if each entry is different, of course!
-A single entry can also be a couple (for example EVIL TWINS) a team, (Like Psycho Rangers, for example) and so on!

So I guess the rules are pretty free!

THE PRIZES
-The TOP ONE winner will have their own villain make in the RockStar comic! (if the comic itself wins, of course)

A quickie!
Finished through Madworld yesterday, and HAD to draw this.
One of my favourite games ever is called GODHAND, and it's kind of underrated (ign gave it a 3??), and they are made by the same folks (read Clover Studios/Platinum Games).
Then I noticed there are several references to Godhand in MW, on some boss fights, so..why not?

This is a pic I made yesterday for a friend at deviantart, that he asked for taking a 10k pageview screenshot last september. Back then he didn't want anything, but I told him he could ask whenever he decided on, so the time came, and I pulled a bit more effort than the other 2 sketches.

This one is a page preview for another entervoid battle, this time..a rematch!
A3 paper this time (contrary to the a4 one in the last post).
The below stuff will get in the way for me to complete this battle though, so I might have to switch to a4 size for the two remaining pages if I want to make it in time.

Here are some, about this new Void character I'm developing. but I think I lost a bit of the gas I had in it during the beach time. No relation for the shark HAHA:

Some pals suggested it's name to be Pothole, and I liked it, because it totally suits a shark that swims in the asphault hehe (the second one was made in my DS, during the travel, there is this nice DSColors game, and you can import stuff from it to your pc. No layers are possible unfortunately :X)
